Peconic Housing Initiative - Established to Prevent and Aid Homelessness
-
Outreach
Offering necessary services to the homeless people of Eastern Long Island, developing and implementing strategies to reach the disenfranchised and hard-to-reach population, the invisible homeless.
-
Advocacy
Identifies the critical needs of Eastern Suffolk's homeless and brings them to the attention of local government, human service agencies, houses of worship, and the community. It provides representation of our region at meetings on the homeless throughout Suffolk County to ensure that our needs are being heard.
